Welcome Message

 

It is a great pleasure and an honor to cordially invite you to the 2021 Spring International Conference of the Pharmaceutical Society of Korea (PSK), which will be held through non-face-to-face online streaming on April 22nd-23rd, 2021. This conference will bring people together at what is a very difficult time for us all, and I encourage your very active and enthusiastic participation: we have so much to learn from each other. In point of fact, we need to meet in person and discuss the recent research trends, however, to prevent COVID19 from spreading, we are conducting a virtual academic conference. To this end, all speakers' presentations are made at the K-hotel Seoul as the broadcasting venue.

 

Under the vision of "the K-Pharm leading PSK", this 2021 Spring Conference will help to integrate our vision and mission for drug discovery and development in the new normal era after the current corona pandemic with the theme of "Challenging Journey for New Normal Academy-Industry Convergence".

The scientific program includes two plenary lectures, fourteen symposia featuring two special symposia focusing on the post-corona era and K-pharma & bioventure, two young scientist sessions and poster presentations. This conference will provide an up-to-date scientific information on trending topics in pharmaceutical sciences, ranging from basic to clinical aspects. I am proud to introduce the plenary lectures by Dr. Jong Sung Koh (chief executive officer in GENOSCO Inc.) and professor Baik Lin Seong (professor at Yonsei University and director general in VITAL-Korea). They have achieved plentiful pioneering works in the field of pharmaceutical sciences and also played a key role in education, management, and entrepreneurship.

 

I hope that these symposia will satisfy your eagerness for both education and research at the forefront of pharmaceutical sciences and technology in the 4th industrial revolution where PSK has new challenges including the reorganization of the 6-year pharmacy school system, the diversification of the social roles of pharmacists, the leadership of the new pharmaceutical and bio-pharma industry paradigm, and the development of a future model of health science.

 

Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all PSK members and participants hoping that everyone will enjoy this special event that will expose us to cutting edge research as well as share our experiences.
