Welcome message
Dear esteemed members of the Pharmaceutical Society of Korea (PSK),
It is my great pleasure and honor to extend warm greetings and a sincere invitation to attend the 2024 Spring International Convention of The Pharmaceutical Society of Korea (PSK), which will be held at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center (BPEX) in Korea on April 17-19, 2024.
The theme for the 2024 Spring Convention is “Opening New Convergence for Future Pharmaceutical Sciences”. Focusing on academia-industry convergence, this convention will provide cutting-edge information on the trending topics in pharmaceutical sciences. The organizing committee has planned a series of engaging sessions covering various aspects of the field, including drug discovery and development, regulatory science, technology transfer, artificial intelligence (AI) and more.
We proudly introduce two plenary lectures by Yunhong Noh, Chairman of Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association (KPBMA) and Dr. Hongkui Deng, a Professor at Peking University School of Life Sciences, China. Chairman Yunhong Noh will deliver a lecture on future prospects and development direction of pharmaceutical industry through technical analysis and Professor Hongkui Deng will speak on his pioneering research on chemical reprogramming for regenerative medicine.
In addition to the two plenary lectures, the conference offers 31 symposiums consisting of 20 regular symposiums, two special symposiums including education program, five young scientists symposiums, and two luncheon sessions sponsored by Pfizer Korea and Waters Korea. Furthermore, there will also be a variety of fascinating presentations and posters delivered by outstanding young scientists and students. These lectures and poster sessions promise to offer cutting-edge insights into various fields of pharmaceutical research and industry, foster collaborative initiatives, and address relevant challenges. This conference continues to implement the Outstanding Young Researcher Awards and Travel Awards to support our young scientists in their pursuit of excellence.
I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to all PSK members, and I sincerely hope you will seize the opportunity to join us in person at the convention. Your participation will undoubtedly strengthen the PSK's mission and its underlying philosophy. BPEX, located in the heart of Busan for international marine tourism, sets the perfect stage for this gathering. Finally, I hope that all participants enjoy this special event to the fullest.

Basic Information
- Members are requested to pay the annual membership fee for the year 2024 before proceeding with the registration for the conference.
- Pre-registration fees can be paid through the following methods: 'Credit Card Payment', 'Bank Transfer', or 'In-person Card Payment at the PSK Office (Seocho-dong, Seoul)'.
- Pre-registration cancellations and refunds are accepted until April 10th (Wednesday).
- If it is difficult to make a research fund payment by credit card within the pre-registration period, you can make a pre-payment with a personal card (bank transfer not available) and then submit a 'Pre-registration Cancellation and Payment Change Request' form via email (psk1946@psk.or.kr).
We will assist you with payment changes at the conference venue. (The Pre-registration Cancellation and Payment Change Request form can be downloaded from the bottom of the Pre-registration information page.) - The participation fee for the Banquet(April 18th (Thursday)) is KRW 20,000. (Applicable for Regular Members, Lifetime Members, and Public Office Members)
- For those who were unable to apply for the Banquet during pre-registration, you can apply through the 'Banquet Tickets (Members Only)' page. Banquet participation fees must be paid by March 29th (Friday), and in case of non-payment, applications will be canceled for those on the waiting list.
- The participation fee for the Welcome reception (April 17th (Wednesday)) is free. (Applicable for Regular Members, Lifetime Members, and Public Office Members)

Credit Card Payment
- If you choose to pay by credit card, your pre-registration will be processed immediately, and you can proceed with submitting your abstract.
- If you encounter any issues during the credit card payment process, please follow the instructions below:
- Edge/Chrome: Disable pop-up blocking for the PSK website before proceeding.
- Internet Explorer: Add the PSK website to compatibility view settings and proceed. - Manual transactions for credit card information over the phone are not accepted.
Bank Transfer
- When you choose bank transfer, your pre-registration will be processed within 3 hours after the payment is confirmed
(payments made after 6:00 PM on weekdays will be processed the next morning, and weekend payments will be processed on Monday morning).

Cancellation and Payment Change for Pre-registration
- To cancel pre-registration or change your payment method (e.g., card update), please download the application form provided below, fill it out, and then submit it via email to psk1946@psk.or.kr.
- Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used during registration. (For credit card payments, a credit card authorization cancellation will be made; for bank transfers, the refund will be processed to the provided bank account.)
- Once the refund process is completed, you will receive a "Refund Process Completed Email" at the email address you provided on the application form. (Please allow 1-2 days for processing of the application form.)
- If you wish to change your on-site payment method to research funds on the day of the conference, please proceed with credit card payment exclusively.
Invited Speaker Abstract
- Please select the session where you have been invited as a speaker from the session list.
- If the invited speaker is a member, please complete the pre-registration process first. If not, you can submit your abstract without pre-registration.
- Detailed information regarding the invited speaker arrangement will be provided individually.
Poster Abstract
2024 PSK Travel Award
- PSK will provide Travel Awards for students & postdocs (under the age of 40) to help defray expenses to attend the conference. Presenting as the first author of oral or poster presentation at the conference is requirement for eligibility. All applications for 2024 PSK Travel Award must be submitted through PSK online abstract submission form by 22 March, 2024. Recipients of award will be notified by email on early April.
Oral Presentation Award (Young Scientists Symposia)
- The Oral Presentation Award, which includes cash prizes, has been chosen based on the reviewers’ evaluation in the corresponding research regions (P1~12). The Distinguished Oral Presentation Award, also accompanied by cash prizes, will be selected by the chairmen’s evaluation of the Oral Presentation Awardees. The deadline for applying for the Oral Presentation is 22 March, 2024.
Poster Presentation Award
- The Poster Presentation Award has been chosen based on the reviewers’ evaluation in the corresponding research regions (P1-13). The Distinguished Poster Presentation Award will be selected by reviewers’ evaluation on every poster presentation. The list of awardees will be posted on the PSK website.
Notification for Non-Attachment of Posters
- If posters are not attached to the designated location by 10:00 AM on the poster presentation day, they will be considered as non-attached.
- If presenters do not participate during the poster standing time, it will be considered as non-attachment.
- Non-attachment of posters will lead to exclusion from consideration for poster awards.
