Dear esteemed members of the Pharmaceutical Society of Korea (PSK) and colleagues,
On behalf of the Pharmaceutical Society of Korea, it is my great pleasure to cordially invite you to the 2026 Spring International Convention, which will be held at Cheongju Osong Convention Center on April 23–24, 2026.
This Spring Convention, themed "Shaping Interactive Approaches in Pharmaceutical Sciences," aims to explore the rapidly evolving landscape of drug discovery driven by open innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration. By fostering a truly interactive environment, we seek to catalyze the advancements that will define the future of pharmaceutical development.
I am honored to introduce our distinguished keynote speakers, whose groundbreaking work perfectly embodies this year’s mission of integrating diverse scientific disciplines.
Prof. Hong Liu, from the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences, will present her pioneering research on "Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emerging Technologies-driven Drug Discovery", demonstrating the power of 'Interactive Approaches' by integrating structure-based molecular design with functional biological evaluations. Her work, notably in developing antiviral candidates and dual-target inhibitors, showcases a seamless bridge between synthetic chemistry and therapeutic innovation.
Following this, Prof. Kwang-Hyun Cho from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology will share transformative insights into the "Reversion of Cancer and Aging: A New Therapeutic Approach from Systems Biology". His research offers a revolutionary perspective on reprogramming diseased cells back to a healthy state by deciphering complex regulatory networks. Through mathematical modeling and simulation, Prof. Cho proposes a paradigm shift toward system-level control of cellular phenotypes, illustrating how computational theory can drive clinical application in reversing aging and malignancy.
The synergy between Prof. Liu’s precision in molecular-level drug design and Prof. Cho’s systemic network analysis provides a comprehensive view of how interactive strategies are reshaping the boundaries of pharmaceutical sciences.
The convention features an expansive program of twenty-five sessions, encompassing two keynote lectures, a dedicated educational program, and sixteen thematic scientific sessions covering the full spectrum of pharmaceutical sciences. Furthermore, six young scientist sessions will highlight the oral and poster presentations of emerging researchers, while general on-site poster presentations will provide a vital platform for direct academic exchange. This program is meticulously designed not only to disseminate breakthroughs in basic research and clinical applications but also to serve as a meaningful bridge for collaboration between academia and industry. We are dedicated to fostering emerging scholars by providing them with a vital platform for academic presentation, mentorship, and global professional networking.
Your participation is instrumental in promoting excellence and collaboration within our community. I sincerely look forward to welcoming you to Cheongju Osong Convention Center this spring for what promises to be a highly rewarding and memorable event.
Warm regards,
President of The Pharmaceutical Society of Korea
